Goodbye 2007
Today is the last day of 2007… Let’s have a brief review on the events in 2007.
February 2007
For the first time, visited Batu Caves during Thaipusam. Must admit that I had a culture shock seeing people poking their own skin LIVE infront of my eyes.
April 2007
Went for the long-awaited bridal shoot at Cameron Highland. It was tiring but fun. It also marked the beginning of the intensive wedding preparation.
May 2007
Got my second tattoo in Bangkok. A tribal cross with a pair of wings which comprises my mom’s and my wife’s initial. The tattoo signifies my faith in my religion and I should not be restricted by it, and my mother and wife will always be blessed by God.
July 2007
Went to Orlando, USA, to take part in the Microsoft Global Exchange (MGX) and saw the legendary Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer live on stage.
Lost my MGX photos. Photos below by Miel Van Opstal.
August 2007
This is a sad month. My beloved grandfather passed away peacefully in his sleep on 12 August 2007, 1pm.
On 31 August 2007, for the first time in my life, I didn’t celebrate our National Day with pride. For all the recent development in the country under the current premiership, I got a bit emotional (upset, angry & confused). I felt that the country is falling apart on Her 50th birthday.
September 2007
15 September 2007 marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life. I am OFFICIALLY and LEGALLY a married man. I married the girl I love so much, Christabel Hew.
October 2007
Prepared for almost 1 year, finally, the show was ON! 6 Oct 2007, my big day i.e. the union of sacrament of the holy matrimony and the wedding reception! Tired… exhausted… but it was a good evening that I celebrated it with all my close friends and relatives. Photos courtesy of Low Chin Han and Davie Gan.
Right after that, we went for our short Honeymoon in Phuket.
November 2007
10 November 2007, the biggest peaceful rally held in Kuala Lumpur asking for Electoral Reform.
December 2007
My last and only grandparent passed away. Grandma left us peacefully in her sleep on 1 Dec 2007.
2007 is a year filled with joy (my wedding) and sorrow (the death of my grandpa and grandma). Goodbye 2007… and welcome 2008! Hope that 2008 will be an even better year for everyone in the family and for my friends.
